The Muggli Family
The Muggli Family origins, back to at least the 12th century are in what is today the Swiss Canton of Graubunden. Indications are to those beginnings in the areas of Trimmis and Chur. An early reference to a Hans Muggli is found in records in Chur.
From the historical and biographical dictionary of Switzerland, vol. 5;
"Muggli or Muckli, a family from Trimmis;

Stephen from Ems, Podestat at Tirano, 1607.
Stephen, Judge of the Upper Alliance, 1665."
